Lakefair Coronation, 1978. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show scenes from what is likely a Lakefair Coronation. Image 22 shows Lacey Mayor Karen Fraser standing at a microphone on a stage. Members of a band appear to be getting set up behind her. This image is oriented vertically. Image 23 is similar to the previous image, but here the image is oriented horizontally. More of the band is visible in this image than in the last. Image 24 shows Ms. Fraser being escorted by a man in glasses and a suit and tie. A Rotary International badge is partially visible on the left breast of his jacket, and he is wearing a nametag which appears to read "OL OLSON." Ms. Fraser and Mr. Olson are visible from head to toe. Image 25 is very similar to the previous image, but here Ms. Fraser and Mr. Olson are only visible from the knees up. Image 26 shows a small crowd of people in formal wear standing on a dock. The Washington State Capitol Building is visible in the far background.
Printed at intervals along one long edge of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."Made/Created
