Description

Jubilee, 1976. These three black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show one woman wearing a serving woman's costume and a second woman wearing a Victorian-style dress and headpiece posing for photos. In some of the images, the women are holding up a sign advertising cash prizes. Image 30 shows a blurry shot of a part of a wall calendar. Image 31 shows the two women holding the sign. The woman in the serving woman's costume is standing behind the sign, and the woman in the Victorian dress is standing in front of the sign and pointing to it with her left index finger. Images 32 through 34 are nearly identical to image 31. Image 35 shows the woman in the serving woman's dress touching the side of the other woman's head with her left hand. This image is oriented horizontally. Image 36 is very similar to the previous image, but here the image is oriented vertically. Images 37 and 40 through 42 are nearly identical to image 36. Images 38 and 39 are nearly identical to image 35.
