2007-012.C325PDescription
Unidentified people, 1973. These six black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using several separate film rolls, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images.
The images in group "a" show two older men and three young men posing individually for portrait photos. Image 9a shows a man with glasses wearing a suit and a patterned tie posing for a photo. He is facing directly toward the camera and his head is cocked to his right slightly. He is shown from the mid-chest up. This image was captured in front of a wood-paneled wall. Image 10a is similar to the previous image, but here the man has turned to his left slightly. Image 11a is very similar to the previous image, but here the man is shown from the waist up. Image 12a is nearly identical to image 10a. Image 13a is nearly identical to image 11a. Image 14a shows a young man in a button-up shirt with a diamond-shaped pattern on it posing for photos. His hair is parted toward his right and it hangs down over his right ear. He is shown from the md-torso up. Image 15a is nearly identical to image 14a. Image 16a is very similar to the previous two images, but here the young man is smiling slightly. Image 17a shows a young man in a baseball-style t-shirt posing for a photo. He is shown from the mid-torso up. Images 18a and 19a are nearly identical to image 17a. Image 20a shows a young man wearing a button-up shirt with pattern made to resemble paper currency bills stitched together. He is shown from the mid-chest up. Images 21a and 22a are nearly identical to image 20a. Image 34a shows a man with sideburns in a striped shirt and patterned tie posing for a photo. Behind the man on the wall are two panels with many small, evenly-spaced holes in them, similar to a pegboard. Here the man is facing directly toward the camera. He is shown from the mid-chest up. Image 35a is similar to the previous image, but here the man is oriented toward the left-hand side of the image frame. This image is oriented vertically.
