Unidentified People, 1978. These four black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using two separate rolls of film, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images.
The images in group "a" show a bald man (C. Dale Ferrier) passing a gavel to a taller man (Fred Pierce) with glasses and a mustache. Both are wearing suits and ties. Image 5a shows Mr. Ferrier at left and Mr. Pierce at right. Mr. Pierce is looking at Mr. Ferrier. Image 6a is very similar to the previous image, but here both men are looking toward the camera. Image 7a is nearly identical to image 6a. Image 8a is nearly identical to image 5a. Image 9a through 14a are nearly identical to image 7a.
The images in group "b" show two older women viewing some plants on a table and an older man who appears to be taking notes concerning some mineral samples in a display case. Image 8b shows the two women looking at the plants. One woman is standing and the other is seated. Images 10b and 11b are nearly identical to image 9b. Image 12b is similar to the previous two images, but here both women are standing. Image 19b shows a seated man in glasses who appears to be taking notes concerning a mineral display in front of him. He is looking toward his noted. Images 19b and 20b are nearly identical to image 18b. Image 21b is very similar to the previous three images, but here the man is looking toward the camera.
Printed at intervals along one long edge of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."Made/Created
