Description

Panorama Fun Fair Clowns, 1976. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show two men dressed as clowns pointing to a sign, and posing for portrait-style photos. Image 22 is missing it's left-hand side. Visible on the remaining portion of the image is a man in a wide-brimmed hat dressed like a clown holding up and pointing to a sign which reads "PANORAMA FUN FAIR QUINAULT NOVEMBER 20." Image 23 shows the man in the wide-brimmed hat in the same pose as seen in the previous image. A second man, also dressed as a clown, is holding up the left-hand side of the sign and pointing to it. This second clown is wearing a curly wig and has heart-shapes on his pants. Image 24 shows the clown with the curly wig posing for a portrait style-photo. He is looking directly toward the camera. Image 25 is nearly identical to image 24. Image 26 shows the clown with the wide-brimmed hat posing for a portrait-style photo. He is smiling. A room of some type is visible in the background, but it is extremely blurry. Image 27 is nearly identical to image 26. Image 28 is very similar to the previous two images, but here the background is blank. Image 29 is very similar to image 28, but here the man is smiling. Printed in alternation along one long edge of both of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."
