Tuey Mansion, 1976. These two black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show exterior and interior shots of a home, and exterior shots of a diner and steak house. The house is located at 301 Maple Park Avenue SE in Olympia, Washington. Image 25 shows a dining room with a chandelier. There is a bouquet of flowers at the center of the dining table. The shot also looks through a doorway into a parlor or sitting room. Images 26 and 27 are nearly identical to image 25. Image 28 shows an exterior shot of the home. A street sign on the corner next to the house shows the intersection of Franklin and Maple. Image 29 is very similar to the previous image but here the photographer has panned to their right slightly. Here a power pole is visible on a corner at the right-hand side of the image. Image 30 is nearly identical to image 29. Image 31 shows an exterior shot of a restaurant with two signs on top. The sign on the left reads "Chet's Family Kitchen." The sign on the right reads "Steak House."
The home located at 301 Maple Park Avenue SE in Olympia, Washington has been known as both the Ogden House and the George Mills House. It is not clear if the home was ever known as the "Tuey Mansion" or "Lucy Mansion," which is written on the backs of the corresponding contact print strips.
