Health Mobile, 1976. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a group of women in a meeting hall or a similar type of room, and two women and a man in a mobile medical unit. Image 17 shows two women seated at a table near the camera. They are both writing. One woman is seated at a table in the background, and one woman is standing by this table in the background. A portrait of a man hangs on the wall, and an American flag is visible in the top left corner of the image. Image 18 is similar to image 17, but here an additional woman is standing between the two women seated at the nearer table and another additional woman in a cardigan is standing near the right-hand edge of the image. Image 19 shows a seated woman having her blood pressure checked inside of a mobile medical unit. A man in glasses is standing to the right of the seated woman. The standing man and woman are both looking down toward the seated woman. Image 20 is very similar to the previous image, but here the seated woman and the man are looking toward the camera. Image 21 is similar to the previous image, but the seated woman is looking up toward the standing woman.
Ken Balsley stated that the Health Mobile provided medial services to rural residents. (Ken Balsley interview, 9/27/2017)Made/Created
