Miss Washington Contest, 1976. These three black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a beauty pageant, and a group of people who may be actors posing for a group photo. Image 15 shows approximately twelve women wearing spandex outfits and standing on a stage. There is a series of arches behind the women. Image 16 is similar to the previous image, but here the women are sitting on stools and a man is standing amongst them and speaking into a microphone. Image 17 shows the women performing a dance routine. Some of the women are wearing full-length bodysuits and some of the women have bowler hats. Image 18 shows many women standing on a series of progressively higher risers, similarly to a choir. Two women are standing apart from this group. Image 19 shows several of the women on stage in formal wear. A portion of a hand and a forearm are visible in the upper right corner of the image. Image 20 is nearly identical to image 19. Image 21 shows five women on stage in formal wear. One is wearing a crown and is holding a bouquet of flowers, and two are holding trophies. Image 22 shows a woman wearing a crown and holding a bouquet. She is also wearing a sash which is partially visible, which reads "MISS WA..." Image 23 shows five women standing in a row along the front of the stage. The woman at center is wearing a tiara and holding a bouquet. Image 24 shows the same five women as seen in the previous image, but here the photographer has moved closer to the women. Here the women are shown from the waist up. Image 25 is nearly identical to the previous image. Image 26 shows eight people posing for a group photo. The woman at center is wearing a long dress with loose arms. Image 27 is nearly identical to the previous image.

Printed in alternation along the bottom edge of all of these film negative strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM" and "KODAK TRI X PAN FILM."Made/Created
