Description

Kreidler Registering, 1976. These three black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a man (Mike Kreidler) wearing a suit and tie and filling out paperwork in a government office. Another man, presumably a government employee, is across the desk from Mr. Kreidler. Image 18 shows Mr. Kreidler looking toward the other man. Mr. Kreidler is on the right and the unknown man is at left. Image 19 shows Mr. Kreidler looking down at a document in front of him and writing. The other man is looking toward Mr. Kreidler. Images 20 through 22 are nearly identical to image 19. Image 23 is similar to the previous four images, but here the other man is looking toward the camera. Images 24 through 26 are nearly identical to image 22. Image 27 shows Mr. Kreidler filling out the paperwork. The other man is not visible in this image. Image 28 is nearly identical to image 22. Image 29 through 30 are very similar to the previous images, but here the photographer has moved to the other side of the two men. Image 31 shows the other man looking back over his shoulder toward the camera. These images likely show Mr. Kreidler registering as a candidate for the Washington House of Representatives. He won election to the body in 1976.
