Description

Isaac Ellis and Thurston County colts. Black and white negative probably created from a slide of a photo in "Olympia," a circa 1907 Olympia Chamber of Commerce promotional brochure or booklet. Pictured is Isaac Ellis in a buggy pulled by a team of two horses. He is wearing a suit and what appears to be a straw hat. They are riding along a narrow road with a forest in the background. Image is surrounded by a thin black line. Underneath is the title "Thurston County Colts". The border of another image can be seen just below this image. Negative is frame #20, fifth on a strip of five. The frame number "20" is printed at the bottom (as well as "19A" to the left of that and printed at the top is "KODAK [SAFETY FIL]M 5060". "049" is handwritten directly onto the bottom of the negative. Original booklet belonged to Shanna Stevenson (in 1990). Marge Russell's name is written in ink on the front.
