Clear glass Kerr one-quart wide mouth canning jar. The jar is cylindrical with screw threads at the top. The mold seams extend from a circular seam on the bottom up to but not over the lip. Besides the circular seam on the bottom there is a horizontal seam the top meets the base. Embossed: On the side: "Kerr" "Self Sealing" "Trade Mark Reg" "Wide Mouth Mason". Between the screw threads: "A 45". On the bottom: the mold number "5" "AMK" (Alexander H Kerr).
