Nisqually Delta, Unknown Date. This single black and white contact print strip was created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images show a sign on a fence post at the edge of a large field. Both images show the same sign. This sign reads "NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE" and "UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY PROHIBITED." The sign also bears an illustration of a goose or similar bird in flight. The sign is centered in both images. Image 6 shows the sign with a grouping of trees in the background beyond the field. Image 7 is very similar to the previous image, but here the photographer has moved to their right by several feet. Here the grouping of trees is only partially visible at the right-hand edge of the image.
