Description
North Thurston, Timberline and Saint Martin's, Men's Basketball, Unknown Dates. These ten black and white contact print strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using three separate film rolls, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images.
The images in group "a" show a men's basketball game between the teams from North Thurston High School and what is likely Central Kitsap High School. The game was played in the North Thurston gymnasium. All of these images (5a-22a) show the game being played.
The images in group "b" show a men's basketball game between the teams from Saint Martin's College and the University of Portland. This game was played in the Capital Pavilion on the Saint Martin's campus. All of these images (23b-40b) show the game being played.
The images in group "c" show a men's basketball game between the teams from Timberline and Tumwater High Schools. This game was played in the Timberline gymnasium.
