Timberline Basketball, Unknown Dates. These twelve black and white film negative strips were created for the Lacey Leader newspaper. These images were created using three separate film rolls, so some of the physical numbers on the strips are repeated. For the purposes of this description, these strips will be grouped according to the film roll from which they originally came. Each group will be assigned a lower-case letter to go along with the physical numbers on the strips (ex: 1a, 2a, 3a, 1b, 2b, 3b, etc.) to help differentiate between images.
The images in group "a" show a men's basketball game between the teams from Timberline and Capital high schools. The game was played in the Timberline gymnasium. All of these images (34a-44a and 1a-12a) show the game underway.
The images in group "b" show a women's basketball game between the teams from Timberline and North Thurston high schools. The game was likely played in the North Thurston gymnasium. All of these images (13b-27b) show the game underway.
The images in group "c" show a men's basketball game between the teams from Timberline High School and what is likely Washington High School (of Tacoma, Washington). This game was played in the Timberline gymnasium. Images 24c-33c show the game underway. Image 34c shows a cheerleading or dance team performance. Images 35c-43c show the game underway.
Printed at intervals along one long edge of each of these strips is "KODAK SAFETY FILM 5063."
