This framed piece, titled "Mount Independence - Fort Ticonderoga", depicts the “Great Bridge” that connected Fort Ticonderoga to Mount Independence in 1776. This bridge was built to aid in transporting soldiers and materials between these two famous fortifications. It was built in the log cabin-style with wooden spikes holding the logs together across the water.
