Artifact W01-06 is a cannon muzzle fragment. It appears that the muzzle was fractured during battle, either from a minor breach of the cannon during firing or a British cannon shot striking it. It is unknown which vessel this piece came from. However, based on the location that it was found, and the size of the cannon it belonged to (a six-pounder), it may have been from either the Row Galley Congress or Washington.Collection
