Description

Object SI.02.843.192 is a lot of two (2) fragments of a cupreous wick adjuster. These pieces would be part of a hurricane lantern. The smaller piece has nine (9) decorative cross shapes cut out of the material. There is a narrow rectangular container in the center to hold a wick. The larger piece covers the smaller. There is a wide slot across the top for the flame to pass through. The larger piece also has "C.T. HAM MFG. CO. U.S.A HOT BLAST NO.15 DASH CLIPPER & S.S.S" stamped into the rim of the object.

Use

These objects would have been used to hold the wick of a hurricane lantern.
