Scope and Content
These scans were taken of primary source documents that are related to the Clark family and their boatbuilding business. The records include shipping accounts, financial statements, letters, bills, legal documents, and a single newspaper clipping. In this collection there is also an account book and shipping log belonging to Orrin Clark from 1862, and a wharf dockage book from 1868. Neither of these were scanned as they were too fragile to do so without bending their spines. The documents date between 1836 and 1868.
