Tall, six (6)-gallon crock w/sides tapered slightly above waist to neck w/shaped, collared rim.
Sides taper slightly below waist to flared base.
Incised whre collar and neck meet.
Inner ledge to support lid. (no lid). Two (2) lug handles at ahoulder.
"6" stenciled on front in dark brown.
Stoneware w/salt glaze exterior; albany slip interior.
Exterior may have been washed w/brown slip before firing, as body is darker ner the top than near the bottom.
Wheel thrown; handles separately shaped and applied.
