Status: Record Updated Street Address: 96 Pearl Street City: Painesville LCHS ID #: 96 Year Built: 1859 Architectural Style: National Folk Front Gable Applicant Name: Mr. And Mrs. Howard Loxterman Description and Notes: The house is a four bay, gable and wing style dwelling in the National Folk Front Gable style. It appears that some Folk Victorian elements were added later. The gable portion of the house has cross gable roof. It has two bays of 2/2 windows on the first and second stories. This portion of the house has shingle siding with some clapboard siding with scalloped edges under the eaves of the house; the eaves also have decorative brackets. The wing of the house is a single story which has two bays, one being a 2/2 window and the other being the main entrance to the house. The wall of this portion is recessed back from the main facade creating a porch with spindlework columns. An old picture of the porch reveals that there used to be spindlework detailing between the columns.
