Status: Record Updated Street Address: 7629 S. Hopkins Road City: Mentor Current Owner: David & Eileen Kelley Original Owner: Varney Prouty LCHS ID #: 375 Year Built: 1874 Builder: Unknown Architectural Style: Colonial Architect: Unknown Description and Notes: History of house, chain of ownership, and photographs of home, The house as it appears in its 1930 photo appears to be Queen Anne in style. Through renovations and additions the 1982 photo appears that the house looks more National in style. The front of the house is obscured by trees and bushes, making it difficult to see. The front of the house is split into two sections. There is a side gable roof that was expanded by an addition (this is evident by the rooflines and slight recession of one of the bays). The forward most bay has three windows on the first floor that are clustered together, they are divided by decorative shudders. There is a single window on the second floor of that bay which is centered. The addition has a single window on each floor with the second story window being six over six. The side of the house has a two story bay with windows in each side of the bay. There is a door on the left side with a small roof overhang. The opposite side has a slightly recessed back first floor with a window right next to the bay and then another door. The second story of the side of the house has octagonal windows on each side of the bay.
