To: Abagail Goldsmith, Painesville; from Gillet Goldsmith, New Orleans - thanks for presents received on 10th; forwarded Alexander's 2 letters to Uncle B thru Mobile. Caroline has teaching position at the Poydras Asylum for $20/month. Juliaette(?) has been here 4 weeks. Julian runs about between Mobile/New Orleans. Mrs. Cole wishes she were home (Painesville) and wonders why Lucia is so quiet. May make $200 or $2000 with new saw operation.
