To: Lucia; from Gussie, New Orleans - Anne Labry(?) visited for a week; she has dropsy like Nancy Green. She apologized from the "false new note" concerning the money. The 5th heard "Nightengale" Jenny Lind. Tickets were $10-20/seat - the editor of "The Bee" gave Alex 2. She sang 6 songs including "Home Sweet Home", the "Echo Song". Theatre effects faded the echo. Lind is not considered pretty. Mr. Barnum sent regrets from Lind that she would not visit Mrs. Bowers' girls home. Awaiting the "Ohio" with California mail.
