Copy of a list dated December 15, 1863 that states: " We the undersigned agree to pay the sum next to our names to hire substitutes for the Township of Perry to prevent the coming draft. If the substitutes are not hired the money is to be refunded". The list shows the dollar amount due and whether it was paid. The names on the list are: Thomas Armstrong, Dave B. Sinclair, Peter Williamson, L. Green, Nelson Norton, Warren Shepard, H.D. Watts, N. P. Watts, C.M. Thompson, B. Sinclair, Brian Btonefre(unreadable), David Upson, C.M. Thompson,Nelson Horton, B. Sinclair, Warren Shepard, H.A. Pachin, C.C. St. John, S. Wire Jr. At the bottom is "copied and typed by Diana Taylor, June 28, 1962". The top right corner is handwritten "original of this record in file G205" (unable to locate original)
