First paragraph references: "As the intention of its composition is to ? sentiments, we shall never be ashamed to own. When compared with others and infe? to none", There is also a postcard addressed to Karen, thanking her for help on research regarding boats built at Madison from L. Schuld. Also a note on postcard "see top of 2nd column, page 8 for confirmation of date to be year 1849".
