Description

French buhr mill stone, used for grinding, made of (A) center open grid of cast iron surrounded by (B) - (V) 22 quart sections (see drawing on catalogue sheet). Originally, sections would have been cemented together w/plaster and bound in iron bands. Surface of stone segments has grooves (furrows) and flat areas (lands) between.
