Description

Black and white photo of Moses Kerr (?). Kerr is dressed in a Civil War uniform and has a goatee. On the back is a 3 cent stamp and the words "Album marked Milwaukee 1867 Moses Kerr (?). This was a Katherine Chesney Hover's early photo album - the only Civil War picture. She was engaged to him. He was killed". Also written it appears later on are the words, "No Kerr was a private" and over that "Ohio 105th Co. D". The officer bar on should would seem to indicate this is NOT MOSES KERR. Ruth Sprowls verified Moses Kerr was a private. This was used by Katherine Chesney Hover.
