(Description of dress: Veil was the wedding dress of the wife of General Paine. The white front was the wedding dress of the wife of Samuel Phelps' son, mother of Mary Phelps. The shoes were worn in England by the mother of Peleg Sanford. She was the widow of Stephen F. Austin (Austin Texas was named after him).
All were loaned to (Hettie Sanford) to wear at the Turkish booth. Mrs. Hanna Sultana (her cousin) and I were attendants.
