82" x 74" quilt of 1 1/2" square checker-beard design - red with small navy leaf designs inside squares. Background white with tiny blue arrow-like design. Back side of quilt is white with tiny checks throughout. Quilt was pieced by Mrs. Almon Gilbert (ne: Elizabeth Gurney) in 1887.
