Scope and Content

This is a draft of a comprehensive collection of data that will help identify current opportunities and challenges that exist in Lake and Geauga Counties. This report presents secondary data to provide an overview regarding the state of Geauga and Lake Counties. Statistics used in this report come from the U.S. Census Bureau - specifically the 2010 decennial census, the Current Population Survey, and the American Community Survey (the successor to the 2010 Census long form social and economic survey questions). Other sources include the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, and the Ohio Department of Education, Community Health Assessments, and Regional Workforce Data reports. (42 pages) There is also a list of secondary data sources listed in the Appendix. This was sent to us from Lakeland Community College.
