Description

(A) Blue & white transferware teapot. (B) Lid was 1969.091.014 Squat rectangular vessel w/low bulbous waist that sits on 2-1/2"x2-5/16" rectangular base. Above waist, sides taper to slanted, protruding collar which tapers to fluted saddle shape rim. Swan neck spout attached at low waist. Wishbone handles w/molded bamboo & branch thumbrest, attached at collar and waist. Rectangular lid tapers to top w/eight (8) petal flower handle. White earthenware w/dk blue transfer hunting dog design...Transfer stam "Stone China" & impressed stamp "Clews Warranted Staffordshire" under crown, enclosed in circle, both on bottom.
