1- Black and white photo of a group of men with Dr. Beutel looking over an engine. This was the annual stockholders meeting on August 23, 1958. The engine's horsepower is 5500- weight is 2500 lbs. Sponsored by the U.S. Navy, this T-40 Turbo Prop produces more horsepower per lb. of weight with better fuel economy than any similar engine anywhere in the world. Four of these engines are installed in the Convair XP5Y flying boat, which made its first flight on April 15, 1950.Collection
