Description

(originally accession number 73-01.177/1 to /8) Consists of 8 watercolors of Moscow buildings painted by Clara Ransom Davis in 1949. The painting are as follows: The McGregor House, First Presbyterian Church, Grand Army of the Republic Building, First Baptist Church, Russell School, Moscow's First High School, Barton House, First Methodist Church. Added to collection May 2017: Two watercolor prints of flowers, found in collection. Both are noted with labels on their reverse that read "Flower Print given to Historical Club by Mrs. F. P. Davis." Both are signed by Clara Ransom Davis and dated 1941. One print is of a Golden rod, solidago missouriensis. One print is of a Syringa Mock orange, Philadelphus lewisii-purstv.
