In full dress uniform and wearing the aguillettes (sic) of the Imperial General Staff, Major General Takeo Imai, envoy to General Okamura, listens meekly to the details of surrender laid down by General Ho Ying-Chin, Supreme Commander of the Chinese Army. A Japanese transport plane brought the Japs to Chihkiang airfield on August 21, for the preliminary meeting.
