1945.09.07 Camoflagued Japanese airplane on Nanjing airfield
Description
9-7-45
Camouflaged revetments at Nanking hide wreched Japanese planes.
When forces of the American trained Chinese new sixth army landed at the Nanking airfield to occupy the former capital city, few serviceable Japanese planes were found but in scattered revetments. Surrounding the field were numerous wrecked or scavengered (sic) planes. Revetments were covered by camouflaged nets and circled by deep fire ditches.
