1945.09.xx (circa) Chinese Army being transported by US Air Force
Description
This undated image is one from a set of images sold by a Chinese auction site in 2008. Although undated, the image was likely taken around or after the formal surrender of Japanese to the Chinese in September, 1945. The auction site described the images as "The photographs record the entire process of the end of the War of Resistance against Japan, the U.S. 10th Air Force carrying the 94th Army of the Kuomintang from Shanghai to Beijing, the 92nd Army from Beijing to Hankou, as well as the Kuomintang troops from Beijing to Tianjin, such as Tongzhou North China to receive the news photos." The auction site credited the image to Larry Gahn. The final auction price was not disclosed.
