This artifact is the Matching Steel Backplate for the previously documented armor set, completing the torso defense. Like its counterpart, it represents a modern pinnacle of the Koftagari tradition from Northern India. It is engineered for Structural Symmetry and provides the necessary mechanical anchor for the total torso system. This specimen maintains the Nahang (Crocodile) heraldry, ensuring a continuous narrative across the defensive perimeter.

The Substrate (Forged Carbon Steel): A heavy-gauge steel plate anatomically contoured to protect the spine and shoulder blades.
Geometry: The plate features a shallow neck curve and flared arm cutouts. The distal edges are "rolled" or flanged.
Mechanical Logic: These rolled edges prevent the plate from flexing under lateral stress and act as a guide for the chainmail or leather interface, ensuring no "energy bleed" during movement.
The Ornamentation (Silver Koftagari): The surface is entirely covered in precision silver inlay work.
The Nahang Motif: The central panel features the Nahang in a dynamic, aquatic pose. The fine-line silver work documents the "Process of Creation," where individual wires are hammered into the cross-hatched steel to create a high-contrast, permanent record.
