This is a Modern Performance Urumi, an exceptional variant of the legendary flexible whip-sword from the Keralite martial art of Kalaripayattu. While it utilizes a traditional North Indian Talwar hilt, the blade geometry is engineered for the fluid, "infinite-loop" combat processes unique to the Malabar Coast.
