Triad of Elite Pole Axes, a cohesive set of artifacts that records a pinnacle of my 2026 Technical Refinement. These units (166, 167, and 168) document my commitment to Material Synergy, pairing hand-forged crescent heads with Seasoned Bamboo Shafts harvested from my own farm. To me, this set represents a peak in High-Status Utility, utilizing brass administrative caps to ensure the absolute Structural Integrity and aesthetic dominance of the assembly.
My Design & Engineering Observations
My Choice of Head Geometry (The Traditional Crescent):
I am looking at three hand-forged heads featuring the aggressive Crescent Bit profile.
My Technical Logic: The sweeping edge maximizes the Slicing-to-Chopping Ratio. By extending the edge arc, I have ensured that the blade captures more material per strike, providing a state of high Cutting Yield that prevents the head from binding in deep organic fibers.
My Shaft Architecture (Seasoned Farm Bamboo):
Each unit is mounted on a primary length of bamboo sourced from my own harvest.
My Mechanical Logic: I have selected "Seasoned" bamboo to ensure a state of maximum Hydraulic Stability. As the bamboo cures, its internal fibers tighten, increasing its Tensile Strength while maintaining its inherent Vibration Dampening. This allows the tool to flex during high-velocity impacts without "Buckling," protecting my wrists during prolonged administrative clearing.
My Decorative and Structural Reinforcement (Brass Top & End Caps):
I have secured each hilt and pommel with Etched Brass Caps.
My Engineering Intent: Beyond their visual status, these caps serve as Structural Ferrules. The top cap prevents the bamboo from splitting under the lateral pressure of the axe eye, while the end cap protects the shaft from ground-impact stress, ensuring absolute Durability Certainty.Made/Created
