This is a Modern Custom Sosun Pattah, a high-performance reconstruction of one of the most elegant and lethal blade forms from the Indian subcontinent. Named after the Lily leaf ("Sosun"), this sword is distinguished by its unique downward-curving profile and its mechanical hybridity between a saber and a heavy chopper. The Blade: The blade features the hallmark "lily leaf" shape, with a gentle downward recurve that widens towards the upper third before tapering to a sharp, reinforced point. It is forged with a T-section spine and a prominent central rib, ensuring immense structural rigidity. This geometry allows the sword to deliver devastating "gravity-assisted" chops while maintaining the balance needed for precise thrusting. The Hilt: This specimen is fitted with a basket-style guard (Indo-Muslim style), providing comprehensive protection for the hand. The steel guard is shaped with traditional serrated or scalloped edges (langets) that extend down the blade to reinforce the hilt-to-blade connection. The Pommel: It features a long, curved pommel spike, a tactical feature that allows for non-lethal strikes or "hammer blows" in close-quarters combat where the full blade cannot be swung. Scabbard (Mian): The sword is housed in a modern black leather-wrapped scabbard.
