My Design & Engineering Observations
My Choice of Blade Architecture (The Drop-Point Skinner):
What I have here is a single-edged blade featuring a radical Drop-Point profile.
My Technical Logic: The spine slopes downward toward the tip, which thins the distal mass of the blade. This provides me with superior Tip Control, allowing me to perform precise administrative tasks or fine skinning work without the risk of an accidental puncture.
The Deep Finger Choyl: You’ll notice the aggressive curve at the base of the blade. This allows me to "choke up" on the tool, placing my index finger closer to the cutting edge for maximum Mechanical Certainty.
My Hilt & Structural Architecture:
I've opted for a Full-Tang Construction, where the stainless steel of the blade extends through the entire length of the handle.
My Mechanical Logic: By securing my wood-grain laminate scales directly to the tang with brass pins, I have achieved absolute Structural Integrity. This eliminates the risk of handle separation during high-pressure prying maneuvers.
