Oil painting titled Crossed Purposes by Don Olson (1986). Logging with an arch replaced old-time skid-road logging with bulls. Here ghosts of a bullwacker and his oxen team watch their "new-fangled" replacement. This painting was honored in the Governor's Invitational folk Art Exhibit in 1988, following which it became part of a traveling exhibit throughout Washington State. It was also chosen for inclusion in the Tacoma Art Museum's "Fallen Timber" exhibit in 1994.
