Salkum General Store and to the right is the Salkum Post Office, mid 1920s. The old Post Office 2 miles south of this location was opened in 1882. In 1890 the Post Office was relocated 6 miles east of Ethel, 2 1/2 miles west of Silver Creek. At one time the Post Office occupied space in the general store, and also beside it, with a separate entrance. In 1955 the Post Office went into a new market, across the street from the old site. 4 1/8x2 3/8, black and white, Vic Kucera donation.Collection
