P8180Description
May 1955. Engine #20 at the shops in Chehalis, WA. The headlight itendifies her as an ex N. P. locomotive. This is one the the N.P.X class 4-8-0 or 12 wheeler build by Schnectody in 1898. It is a pity this engine was not preserved since the wheel arrangement is relatively rare. The CC&C crews never liked the #20 possibly, the frame may have been too rigid for the CC& C line and did not ride well when running backwards. Have negative.
