Grave of Martha Roberts, wife and also first cousin of George B. Roberts, a Hudson Bay employee in charge of Cowlitz farm. They met in Aldborough England Sept. 7,1843. She was the first white woman buried north of Vancouver WA. . Born on July 21, 1810. She died July 27, 1850 of typhoid fever on the Cowlitz farm. The grave site is now (1995) on property owned by Robert Herren, 285 Spencer Rd., Winlock, WA.Collection
