Description

Doernbecher Furniture Co. at Main and Front St., Chehalis, WA, established first in Ainslee, south of Winlock; moved to Chehalis in 1893 and developed into a modern plant. The largest market for their furniture was in California. When Doernbecher moved to Portland, OR in 1900, the plant became the Chehalis Furniture and Mfg. Co. under Frank Everett, Harry West, N. B. Coffman and D. O. Gingrich. Gingrich and a group of associates acquired control in 1909. Destroyed by fire in 1917.
