Photo of the blockhouse built at the west end of the Klickitat Prairie during the Indian wars of 1855-56. This photo was taken about 1900, and shows that the roof was already gone at this point. The location was thought to be at the west side of the Mossyrock gravel pit. Original from Earl B. Clowe and brought in by Marjorie Aldrich. Have negative.Collection
