1978 photo of a huge pit thought to be at Satsop or WIDCO, with heavy equipment in it. Al Sanderson of Hoquiam, WA surveys the scene with a transit at far right. Hole is 65' deep. Its walls are covered with 4" thick concrete. From wall to wall is over 300". Print of Chronicle photos published in paper, circa 1982
