Agate Schoolhouse Store was at junction of Alpha-Centralia and North Fork Roads. When the school consolidated with Chehalis, ca. 1937-38, the building sold to Mr & Mrs Madden. Wade Mills and his wife Leila Madden Mills (daughter of the Maddens) helped manage the store. ca. 1956-57 the store burned and they lost the store and home.
