Description

Copy of J. D. Siegwarth Train photos. Engine L-9 #1049, an 0-6-0 by the Chehalis, WA Depot in March 1954. The 1049 was regularly assigned to the Chehalis switch and Carl Rogers was the regular engineer on that job in the early 1950's until her retired in 1953-54. The first L-9's, probably just the 1040's, were unusual in that the main rods connected to the second rather than the third set of drivers. Northern Pacific Engine. Have negative.
